The 2012 Tullett Prebon London Boat Show launch was all about glitz and panache with socialite and model Tamara Ecclestone declaring the show officially open.

In a glamorous two-piece ensemble, the elder daughter of Croatian former Armani model Slavica Ecclestone, looked stunning as she performed a 50s inspired routine to a "MGM-themed" tune. Tamara was also accompanied by a troupe of elegant "synchronized swimmers" dressed in vintage bathing suits and Hollywood-style robes.

"I'm thrilled to have been involved in this fantastic event. I have fond memories of being taken out on yachts from an early age and so I've always loved being out on the water. I really enjoyed seeing all the action live at the Show as well as being given a tour of all the new boats that were launched this year - I'd definitely recommend it as being a fun day out for all," the glamorous heiress said.

The British-Croatian model however was forced to go barefoot over fears that her heels would damage the decking of the 130ft Sunseeker luxury vessel.

The Tullett Prebon London Boat Show is an annual event that is attended by more than 500 exhibitors and 1,000 boats at the exhibition hall.

"The Show - which is free for kids - is the perfect way to get into the spirit of celebrating London's undisputed status as the 'city of sport in 2012'," said Murray Ellis, Managing Director of National Boat Shows.
