US President Donald Trump was photographed boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews on Friday before travelling to his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, and the images prompted renewed online speculation about an apparent bulge at his waist.

Some users on X speculated about what might have caused the apparent bulge, suggesting it could be anything from a pouch to a medical device, while others revived unsubstantiated diaper rumours about the 80-year-old president.

The photographs do not offer a clear view beneath Trump's jacket, and there is no verified evidence that the apparent bulge was a diaper, a medical device or any other particular item.

Background to the Speculation

Similar claims have circulated around Trump for months, after some viewers said that videos and photographs appeared to show unusual shapes beneath his suit jacket.

The latest round of posts followed photographs of Trump boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews before travelling to Bedminster, New Jersey. One X user asked, 'What is this on his waist? A fanny pack? A device?', while another posted a magnified image and wrote, 'What is going on here?'

Other users responded with jokes about Trump's age and appearance, but none of the posts establishes what, if anything, was beneath the fabric of his suit.

The speculation follows earlier footage from a Long Island event in August, when some viewers claimed to see a box-shaped protrusion around the rear and right side of Trump's suit.

Karoline Leavitt previously shared a video from the Long Island event that prompted similar online speculation about an apparent box-like shape beneath the back of Trump's suit.

Tennis player Martina Navratilova also commented on the appearance, writing on X, 'That's a big diaper, I think :).'

rump's biographer Michael Wolff said on a podcast that there was 'no basis' and 'no evidence' for the claim. Wolff also said he had not been in Trump's proximity since the campaign.

White House Medical Assessment

A recent medical assessment released by Trump's team has stated that he remains in excellent health, with generally normal examination and laboratory results.

The report, signed by White House physician Capt. Sean Barbabella, said Trump 'remains in excellent health,' demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function.

According to the report, a 3D scan of Trump's heart showed no abnormalities.

The report noted slight lower-leg swelling that had improved from the previous year. It also said his vital signs, examinations and laboratory results were generally normal. Barbabella concluded that Trump was fully fit to carry out his duties as commander in chief and head of state.

IBTimes UK has not independently verified what, if anything, was beneath Trump's clothing.

The available images do not establish that the object was a diaper, medical device or any other particular item. The White House has not publicly identified the object shown in the photographs.

For now, the photo shows Trump in a dark suit on an airport tarmac, heading for a weekend at Bedminster. The images do not establish what caused the apparent shape or whether anything was being worn beneath the jacket.
