They are dropping like flies at Goodison Park. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has had to come off after 10 minutes due to an ankle injury.

And we are underway in our four 3pm kick offs in the Premier League. All the goals and incidents are coming your way as they happen.

Sergio Aguero endured a relatively insipid return against Liverpool on Saturday after his four-match suspension and as a result, he has been dropped to the bench this afternoon with Kelechi Iheanacho coming into replace him.

Liverpool team to face Sunderland: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Sturridge

Subs: Karius, Moreno, Lucas, Origi, Stewart, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria

BREAKING: Daniel Sturridge returns to the Liverpool starting XI.

When asked about the possibility of Coutinho and Matip returning this afternoon, Jurgen Klopp was pretty blunt in his response.

I don't believe in miracles. Nobody told me they can do what you have to do when you want to play a football game in two days. No chance."

Team news: Sunderland

Jason Denayer also missed the trip to Turf Moor due to a hamstring injury but David Moyes hopes to at least have him back this afternoon. He said:

Jason felt his hamstring in training on Friday and we had it scanned but there was nothing on it, so we have to hope it's not long term. There was nothing on the scan but he felt he wasn't able to play.

"We had a couple of players who weren't ready to play against Burnley – Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell – but we wanted to include them and get them ready for some of the games coming up. Let's hope they can get themselves in a good condition and get ready to play some minutes."

Team news: Sunderland

With Jordan Pickford, Jan Kirchhoff, Duncan Watmore, Paddy McNair and Lee Cattermole all sidelined, the last thing David Moyes needed was more absentees. But of course, he's got them. Lamine Kone and Victor Anichebe are now likely to miss this afternoon's game, leaving Moyes desperately short of options at the back having fieled a patchwork defence in the 4-1 defeat Burnley.

Team news: Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho and Joel Matip are still sidelined with ankle injuries. The Brazil international has not played since the last time these two met in early December, while Matip has now missed the club's last four games.

Jordan Henderson is also a doubt ahead of kick-off having suffered a minor heel injury in the victory over City.

There's no rest for the wicked in the Premier League; just two days after their win over Manchester City, Liverpool are back in action this afternoon to take on a battered and bruised Sunderland side. That's one of five fixtures kicking off in an hour and a half with Manchester City welcoming Burnley to the Etihad Stadium. All your team news is on the way.
