Forbes' recent list has clearly shown that Taylor Swift has topped it all. She has become the highest-paid woman in music according to Forbes. She has earned nearly $185 million from June 2018-June 2019. She is also the wealthiest in her industry.

Next in line to Swift is Beyonce with $81 million followed by Rihanna with $62 million and then comes Katy Perry with $57.5 million. Kim Kaupe, co-founder of Superfan Company, who has worked with Taylor Swift on her album packages in the past said, "Taylor and her team understand the subtle yet important art of creating substantial moments." He further said, "These moments are not only perfectly captured by fans and media outlets, but they are the perfect bite-sized, PR-ready morsel that the news cycle loves."

According to Forbes, much of her income came from her "Reputation Stadium Tour" which grossed her as much as U.S.-record $266 million. Her new album, "Lover," with Universal Republic Records, has added to her wealth. Her latest performance at the 2019 MTV VMAs was no less noteworthy. It's not just her songs but her severe hard work that has been the biggest driver of her career from the 2009 VMA awards to the latest no. 1 position. People reported that after the release of her latest album, "Lover," she said she was "proud" because "it's the first album of mine that I've ever owned." This is in connection to the recent Scooter Braun issue.

Braun's company purchased her former label and got all her master records as part of the deal. In effect, Braun has become the middleman in case anyone wants to use her songs in any platform. Braun's company will have to be paid licensing fees for using her songs. However, Taylor has not given up on the situation and has decided to fight back by re-recording all her previous songs.

In an interview with Vogue, she said her new album is really a love letter to love, in all of its maddening, passionate, exciting, enchanting, horrific, tragic, wonderful glory."

Swift's journey has been encouraging to all the newcomers in the industry. Her album "Lover" has already grabbed the market and is continuing to do so.
