Joe Rogan

In the ever-expanding, dark universe of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, a new name has emerged from the digital archives, and it is one that few would have predicted.

Joe Rogan, the world's most influential podcaster and a fixture of the UFC for nearly three decades, has been named in a massive 3.5-million-page document dump released by the US Department of Justice on Friday, 30 January 2026.

As RadarOnline reported, the files do not implicate Rogan in any wrongdoing; instead, they reveal a desperate, failed attempt by the convicted paedophile to infiltrate the commentator's inner circle. The exchange offers a chilling glimpse into how Epstein, even as a registered sex offender, sought to leverage his connections to the academic and sports worlds to maintain his social standing.

A Theoretical Physicist and a Predator: The Attempted Introduction

The link between the predator and the podcaster was allegedly brokered through Lawrence Krauss, the theoretical physicist and cosmologist who appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in 2017. In a newly unsealed email from that same year, Epstein reached out to Krauss with a jarringly casual request: 'I saw you did the Joe Rogan show, can you introduce me, I think he's funny.'

Krauss, who has himself faced allegations of misconduct and was recommended for dismissal from Arizona State University in 2018, initially seemed willing to facilitate. 'I will reach out to Rogan,' he replied. However, the plan hit an immediate wall. A follow-up email from Krauss to Epstein confirmed that the meeting would never happen, with the physicist noting that Rogan seemed 'more timid' than he had anticipated.

In this context, 'timid' appears to be a euphemism for Rogan's refusal to engage, a decision that looks increasingly prescient in light of today's revelations.

Cageside Connections: The Sports World In The Epstein Files

Beyond the attempt to meet Rogan, the 2026 document release highlights Epstein's bizarre obsession with the UFC. Emails from as far back as 2009 show Epstein was on the organisation's promotional mailing lists and frequently paid for pay-per-view events.

One exchange with a paralegal, Story Cowles, even discusses ordering UFC Versus 1: Vera vs. Jones specifically to be ready for play on an iMac in his cabana.

The files also suggest Epstein was actively looking to acquire assets from the sport's former owners, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta. In 2016, following the blockbuster $4.4 billion sale of the UFC, an associate named Gary submitted a $17.5 million offer on Epstein's behalf to purchase a private jet from the brothers.

Though the offer was reportedly ignored, the details illustrate Epstein's relentless pursuit of high-profile figures in the NFL, NBA, and NHL, including New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris.

The irony of Rogan's name appearing in these files is not lost on his audience. In late 2025, Rogan famously mocked the delay of these very documents, suggesting that the political chaos of the time was a 'distraction' from the truth.

While the files show Epstein found Rogan 'funny', the reality revealed in these millions of pages is anything but.
