Tottenham goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes is still undecided on whether he wants to leave the club during the current transfer window despite having virtually no chance of playing first team football.

The Daily Mail has revealed that there is interest in the Brazilian from Dynamo Kiev but Gomes is reluctant to make the move to Ukraine and is said to still be considering his future.

Tottenham did allow Carlo Cudicini to leave earlier this month as he joined the LA Galaxy but they still have Brad Freidel as a very capable reserve to the now firmly established number one Hugo Lloris.

With these two well ahead of Gomes in the pecking order, the 32-year-old has struggled to force his way into the reckoning and has not started a single league game this season.

This follows on from a disappointing 2011-12 season when his appearances were limited to cup competitions and it seemed clear then that he would have to look to leave White Hart Lane.

However, despite supposed interest from teams in England, Holland and Brazil, Gomes has remained at the club and has shown little signs that he is on the verge of ending his association with the club.

While it is clear that Gomes will not be involved at the weekend in the crunch clash with Manchester United, striker Jermain Defoe is hoping to help the club secure another important victory that would confirm their status as top four candidates.

"What can you say about United?" Defoe told the Tottenham website. "They are a great side with great players and it will be a big test for us. But they know it will be difficult for them as well when they come to White Hart Lane.

"Hopefully we can get the three points - and we're more than good enough to do that with the players we've got here."

Tottenham beat Manchester United 3-2 earlier this season to secure their first victory at Old Trafford since 1989.
