Historic Royal Palaces has released incredible drone footage which captures the installation of 888,246 ceramic poppies at the Tower of London from the air.

Filmed from above by quadcopter, the video shows the installation, titled Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, stretching across the moat of the Tower of London. Each of the 888,246 ceramic poppies, planted over the last few months by volunteers, represents a British and commonwealth soldier who died during the First World War.

A final ceramic poppy will be planted on 11 November, before they will start to be dismantled the following day. The weeping window and wave segments of the installation will be kept on display until the end of the month following huge demand to see the installation.

It is thought around four million people have descended on the Tower of London in recent weeks to see the artwork.Thousands of the poppies will now go on tour before being permanently based at the Imperial War Museums in London and Manchester.
