A young child picked a good moment for a resurrection by apparently coming back to life in church at her own funeral.
Mourners were stunned when the three-year-old girl started moving her head, shortly before she was due to be laid to rest in the Philippines.
Overjoyed relatives grabbed and lifted her from the coffin as she began displaying signs not usually associated with being dead.
Obviously, the medical experts who declared the little girl deceased in Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao, have some explaining to do.
Her family had taken her to a clinic after she developed a fever. She was pronounced dead there, but it seems reports of her demise were greatly exaggerated.
Aurora Police chief Heidil Teelan told The Philippine Star newspaper: "During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9am."
