Supergirl season 1 returns with a new episode this Monday, 21 March at 8pm EST on CBS Network. Episode 17 is titled Manhunter, where Kara Danvers will struggle to win the trust of people at National City after the red-Kryptonite incident.

The synopsis reads as follows:

In the previous episode, Supergirl comes in contact with red Kryptonite, which destroys her goodness and turns her into evil. The DEO is able to subdue Kara but Hank Henshaw is forced to reveal his real identity as the Martian Manhunter to bring down the rogue Supergirl.

The upcoming episode will reveal the details of how J'onn J'onzz took over Hank's identity as Supergirl comes to terms with the fact that City's people have lost trust in her. The episode could also set up The Flash and Supergirl crossover, as the synopsis hints at Supergirl sharing her secret identity with someone new. Could that someone new be Barry Allen from The Flash?

The Flash and Supergirl's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how Bary Allen will fit into Supergirl's universe. He said, "Supergirl has never heard of The Flash and Flash has never heard of Supergirl, so there's a lot of like, 'Wait, you're the who, now?'"

"Barry and Kara take a little bit of a leave of their problems for a week to engage in the kind of hilarious high-stakes high jinks that ensue when two superheroes wind up in the same universe," Kreisberg added.

The Flash will also help Kara deal with the fallout, and give her advice on how to win people's trust back. Kreisberg said "She's fallen out of good graces with the people at National City. The Fastest Man Alive's advice, ironically, is to slow down and let things come to you."

The Flash-Supergirl crossover episode titled Worlds Finest will air on 28 March on CBS.
