The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead season 6 finale will see the entry of the notorious villain Negan AMC

Finally, fans will get to see Negan in The Walking Dead season 6 finale, which will air on 3 April. Both the cast and crew have already warned about a shocking and "hardcore" episode that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

"It's possibly my favorite episode of the series thus far. It's riveting and fans of the show are going to be on the edge of their seats the entire episode. It's probably the best final moment of a season we've ever had. It's entirely possible there's going to be a painful summer for Walking Dead fans but we'll be back in October," Robert Kirkman told Hollywood Reporter.

The synopsis of the extended 90 minute TWD season 6 finale reads: Rick and the group must go outside the walls to save one of their own. What they experience on the road will change their lives forever.

In the previous episode, many characters were shown in peril, including Daryl Dixon, Glenn, Michonne and Rosita. Morgan, on the other hand, was out in the woods, after sending Rick Grimes back to the Alexandria safe zone.

A teaser for episode 16 shows Morgan finding a horse and being in awe of it. It is not clear whether it is a trap set by the Saviors and their leader Negan, who savages his victims with Lucile (a baseball bat wrapped around with barbed wires).

Though it appears that Daryl and Morgan will become the victims of the dreaded villain, the graphic comic book by Kirman has narrated Glenn's death at the hands of Negan.

"I don't think I'd say deadly; I think there's a sense of dread that is palpable," Greg Nicotero, the executive producer and director of the finale told HR.

The Walking Dead season 6 episode 16 titled Last Day on Earth airs on 3 April at 9pm ET on AMC.
