Grammy award-winning singer Chris Brown is back in the headlines after he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The drama kicked off at the 27-year-old star's home in the early hours of Tuesday (30 August) after police responded to a 911 call from a woman claiming he had threatened her with gun.
The woman at the centre of the allegations has been identified as beauty queen, Baylee Curran.
The former 2016 Miss California Regional claimed that things took a turn for the worst after she admired his friend's jewellery.
During a phone interview with TMZ she claimed she was admiring a diamond cross necklace when she was told to step away and he later pulled out the weapon and told her to leave his house.
In a video she told her followers that she was not lying or fame hungry."Do you all honestly think I wanted this, that I caused this?" she asked adding: "If somebody put a gun to your head what would you do? Call the police?"
Brown was taken into custody following a stand-off with police at the property in Tarzana but has since been released on $250,000 (£190,000) bail. The Loyal hit maker denied the allegations in a series of videos posted to his Instagram page, insisting he had been asleep all day.
"Every three months, y'all come up with something, bro. What is it? What's going to be next?" he asked in one clip, adding: "At the same time, when I call police for stalker people ... they don't come until the next day."
His lawyer also slammed the accusations against his client as "demonstrably false".
According to Curran, Brown's people asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, but she refused.
