Whoopi Goldberg hit back at comments from Trump's sons Lucy Nicholson/ Reuters

US actress Whoopi Goldberg has responded to offers from Donald Trump's sons to 'buy her airfare' out of the country after she said she did not want to be part of the GOP hopeful's version of America.

Speaking on Fox and Friends, Trump's sons Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump said the comments from Goldberg and her The View co-host Raven Symone were 'an endorsement' and that they would 'buy their airfare' if they wanted to leave the country.

Addressing their comments on The View, Goldberg said: "The point I made was you start saying this person is a rapist and a murderer and because... when they use blanket statements about black people or when they use blanket statements to talk about white people or women or any other group, I don't think that's America. I don't want it to be America, maybe it's time for me to move.

"If you want to be mad at me, if you want to make jokes, get your facts straight – write the whole thing and then I'm cool. And just to be clear, I wouldn't leave this country for him to piss all over, for any reason. This is my country and I do have something to say about it, I'm not going anywhere."

Her comments drew applause from The View audience, and Joy Behar added that if Trump does win his party's nomination and go on to win the presidency, she and Goldberg would still be on air every week. "We will be here next year tormenting you," she added.

Raven Symone, who said on The View that she would be moving to Canada with her entire family if Trump became president, found her views shared by many Americans, as Google searches for 'how to move to Canada' spiked after Trump's Super Tuesday success.
