Detectives investigating the assault of a young man on Hare Street in Woolwich have released CCTV images of four youths Met Police

Detectives investigating a violent assault on Hare Street in Woolwich have released CCTV images showing four youths punching, kicking and stabbing a man. At approximately 3pm on Wednesday, 28 October, officers were called to a fight on Mortgramit Square.

Hare Street suspect descriptions

The suspects are described as "youths" and of slim build:

Suspect 1: Black man with short black hair. He was wearing dark coloured trousers and a black jacket.

Suspect 2: Eastern European man with short black hair, wearing a blue Nike tracksuit with white stripes down the side. He was seen with a large knife.

Suspect 3: Eastern European man with short black hair, wearing blue jeans, a dark Nike tracksuit top with white stripes down the arms.

Suspect 4: Black teenager, wearing a dark coloured jacket and trousers. He was riding a bike and was seen with a knife.

A 23-year-old man was found next to a garage forecourt with cuts to his head and legs. The London Ambulance Service attended and took the man to a south London hospital. He was later discharged after receiving nine stitches above his right eye and eight to two cuts on his left leg.

CCTV captured the victim walking in the street. A group of men ran out of a barber's shop, with their hoods up, and chased him down the street before punching and kicking him to the ground. The four men were later seen on CCTV getting into a communal lift and re-enacting the assault as they waited for the lift doors to open.
