One year on from the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games, three of Team GB's London 2012 heroes, boxer Nicola Adams, taekwondo star Jade Jones, and gymnast Louis Smith, took part in the Virgin Active London Triathlon.
The starting swim took place in the Royal Docks by the London Excel Arena, where Adams and Jones both won gold medals in their respective sports. Adams and Smith took part in the cycle segment of the race, whilst Jones competed in the final 2.5km run. Amongst the 13,000 who competed in this year's edition included former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm (Mel C) and presenter Zoe Hardman.
