Police searching for missing five-year-old April Jones have released an image of the man arrested on suspicion of child abduction, 46 year old Mark Bridger.

Dyfed Powys Police arrested Mr Bridger yesterday and took him to Aberystwyth Police station, where he was questioned about the whereabouts of the child.

Police have also released an image of the vehicle April is believed to have gotten into at around 7pm on Monday night, a dark blue Land Rover Discovery with registration number L503 MEP.

He was arrested on the A487 just outside the village of Machynlleth, where April went missing. He was described as wearing camouflage jacket and trousers with black waterproof trousers underneath.

Police have asked for anyone, who has seen the vehicle or its owner between 17:00 Monday evening and 15:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, to contact them on their dedicated hotline 0300 2000 333.
