Arsene Wenger
Arsene Wenger needs to sign more than just one player this summer, Ray Parlour says.

Ray Parlour believes that Arsene Wenger will be making a huge mistake if he doesn't bring in at least two more players in this transfer window as the club continue to go without a major signing this summer.

Wenger has made his pursuit of Luis Suarez public, but apart from signing 20 year old French striker Yaya Sanogo at the beginning of the summer he is yet to confirm any more incoming deals despite reportedly having a large amount of money to spend.

Liverpool have continually insisted that Suarez is not for sale and have so far rejected two of Arsenal's bids for the star. Parlour believes that the Uruguay international won't be enough to put the club in contention for the title, with at least two major signings needed in this window to bring them into contention with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

"They definitely need a couple of players," he told Talksport. "Everybody is waiting for a signing, a real big key player. Suarez would be a massive player for Arsenal if they signed him.

"Arsene Wenger will still be looking at buying players and I'm hoping he can bring in two of three before the season starts. It would give Arsenal every chance.

"He has got lots of players in the squad and he needs players now who are really going to strengthen the team. He needs a couple of key signings."

Arsenal finished last season celebrating qualification for the Champions League, with the side sealing fourth place on the last day after a nail-biting race with bitter rivals Tottenham.

But the north London club have made it clear that they don't want to just be aiming for a top four finish next season, with trophies on Wenger's agenda as they now go eight seasons in a row without.

Both Manchester City and Chelsea have bought big this summer, while United are also having issues landing their targets with the club missing out on Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas.
