Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Filming for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is reportedly complete Warner Bros

Some new interesting details regarding the plot of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have surfaced online.

According to Badass Digest, in the film, Batman has been operating in Gotham for 17 years. Which means several developments would already have taken place once the film starts. One of them centres around the fate of Commissioner Gordon.

Reportedly, the top cop of Gotham who played a primary role in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, is dead. How and when is unclear.

"All that's noted in the script is that there's a memorial plaque to James Gordon. This explains why the role wasn't cast for the film," states the Badass Digest report.

"Perhaps in this continuity The Joker killed Jim Gordon?" speculates the report. "That would be an interesting spin, and something that could feed into future Batman movies." Incidentally, recent rumours suggested that The Joker's name will come up in Batman v Superman and that Superman is aware of his existence.

The website also reveals that most of the story takes place in Metropolis and there are two major fight scenes in Gotham - one where Superman comes looking for Batman and a climactic fight scene.

Meanwhile, during his recent appearance at the Comic Con Experience in Brazil, actor Jason Momoa shared some details regarding his role as Aquaman in the DC superhero films.

Reportedly, Momoa has been contracted for four films with Warner Bros, which will feature him as Aquaman.

"While Momoa didn't confirm which movies Aquaman will appear in, it's probably a good bet that the four appearances will likely be Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Aquaman solo movie, Justice League Part One, and Justice League Part Two," states a Comicbook.com report.

Momoa also revealed that his version of the superhero is going to be "badass" and that it will "silence Aquaman sceptics".
