Candace Owens Claims Tyler Robinson Is Innocent and Blames TPUSA for Charlie Kirk's Death
The outspoken commentator says Robinson 'never set foot' at the scene, fuelling explosive speculation and intensifying TPUSA drama.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens has intensified speculation over the death of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), by claiming that he was preparing to launch an internal audit of his own organisation shortly before he was killed. Her remarks, combined with a series of viral posts, have fuelled conspiracy theories, heightened scrutiny of TPUSA and raised broader concerns about political safety in the United States.
Owens' Claim: TPUSA's Secret 'DOGE' Department
In her latest podcast episode, Owens alleged that Kirk was planning to create a Department of Government Oversight and Ethics, nicknamed 'DOGE', within TPUSA. She claimed an internal memo revealed that Kirk intended to investigate the organisation's finances and operations just a week before his assassination.
Owens suggested the proposed audit could have put Kirk in conflict with influential figures both inside and outside TPUSA. She described the revelation as a 'bombshell detail that nobody wants to talk about', implying that internal tensions may have contributed to the events leading to his death.

In a new conspiracy, @RealCandaceO is now publicly attacking TPUSA and is suggesting that @TPUSA played a role in murdering Charlie Kirk.

Podcast Surge and Online Impact
Owens' episode, titled 'Who Ordered the Hit on Charlie Kirk?', quickly soared up the podcast charts. It surpassed Joe Rogan's show on Apple Podcasts, briefly making hers the third most-listened-to programme in the country. The video version of the episode attracted over 4 million views within days, further cementing her influence as a dominant online voice.
At the same time, The Charlie Kirk Show surged in popularity, climbing to the top of Apple's charts as guest hosts including Glenn Beck, Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly paid tribute. For conservatives, the assassination of Kirk has reignited interest in political podcasts as both a platform for influence and a source of alternative narratives.
Conspiracy Theories Take Hold
Within hours of Kirk's death, speculation circulated online blaming hidden forces. Some commentators accused Jewish financiers or political leaders of exerting pressure on Kirk, while others labelled mainstream reporting part of a cover-up. Owens herself has repeatedly questioned official accounts, claiming outlets such as the New York Post were 'outfits of the Mossad'.
Theories also emerged around Tyler Robinson, the man charged with Kirk's murder. Owens and her supporters argued he had been falsely portrayed as suicidal and warned he could face the 'Epstein treatment'. Robinson's alleged confession was cast into doubt, with claims that he had never even been on the Utah Valley University campus where Kirk was killed.
Safety Concerns Grow Among Commentators
The backlash and frenzy surrounding Owens' statements have highlighted a broader unease about the vulnerability of high-profile political figures. Conservative and liberal podcasters alike have voiced fears for their personal security in the wake of Kirk's assassination.
While law enforcement maintains that Robinson acted alone, the proliferation of alternative narratives has created fresh challenges for investigators and a heightened sense of danger in the world of political commentary. As Owens continues to drop what she describes as 'dark hints', her growing audience ensures that speculation will remain part of the conversation long after the courtroom proceedings.
