More celebrities showed off their stylish looks at the 66th annual Cannes Film Festival, one the world's biggest cinema showcase for the Palme d'Or - the most coveted film awards after the Oscars.

Australian actress Nicole Kidman looked elegant in a white sequined Chanel dress with a silk tulle black-and-white ruffle hemline styled with a bejeweled belt. The 45-year-old jury member of the festival completed the look with Christian Louboutin shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels.

Kidman, who is one of the nine people judging this year's film lineup, has been one of the best dressed at the event, with gowns by Dior, Calvin Klein, L'wren and Valentino.

Chinese actress Ziyi Zhang looked classy in a lilac Elie Saab dress and teamed it up with Jimmy Choo shoes, Omega watch, and Boucheron jewels. Italian model Bianca Balti wore a stunning red and black Dolce & Gabbana gown with a black lace underlay, styling her look with statement earrings, a hot red lip colour and a slick back bun.

Oscar winning actress Tilda Swinton ditched the gowns and went for a gold loose trouser suit. The 52-year-old star completed the look with red lip color and her bleach blond hair piled atop her head.

French actress Audrey Tautou, who is also this year's Cannes Film Festival mistress of ceremonies, stunned in a black strapless dress with pleats and matched it with black ankle strap sandals. Turkish actress Saadet Aksoy wore a dove-grey embellished gown.

French actress Emmanuelle Seigner, who was joined by her director- husband Roman Polanski, turned heads in a red custom Alexandre Vauthier low-cut silk jersey gown with red Christian Louboutin sandals.
