The stars are out on the French Riviera for the 69th Cannes Film Festival, taking place until 22 May. Twenty-one films are competing for awards this year at the 12-day event, with a host of other productions showing out of competition. According to organisers, about 40,000 film industry professionals are participating in this year's film festival, including 4,500 journalists from around the world.
