Joan Rivers' death has shocked millions of her fans who adored her in her show Fashion Police.

The comedian stopped breathing while undergoing throat surgery and later suffered a cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, Rivers' popular show was postponed while her colleagues and fans kept praying for the TV show host's speedy recovery.

Currently, the show is not on air on E News even though the New York Fashion Week is in full swing.

"It is almost impossible to describe how much I adored Joan and how much she has meant to me," Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic told E Online after the death of the comedy icon.

"She was not only the funniest woman I have ever met but was incredibly loving, honest, and lived her life with no regrets. Working with her for the last 13 years has been one of the true joys of my life. She could put a smile on your face, instantly, no matter how hard your day was."

Kelly Osbourne, another of Rivers' co-star from the same show was devastated after the news of the legendary comedian's death broke.

"I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her. Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I'm sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her," Osbourne wrote in her Facebook page.

Rivers was the prime voice of the show which comments on famous celebrity fashion and her humour and witty one-liners have kept viewers glued to the screen.

But after her death, fans believe that the show will not be the same again and the comedy queen has left a huge vacuum which can never be filled.
