A terrier-type dog has mauled a poodle to death in Fife, Scotland Getty

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after a dog attacked and killed another dog in a park in Kennoway. The incident happened near the pathway in Cotlands Park around 10.30 pm on Friday 23 October 2015.

A white terrier-type dog with brown spots attacked and killed a poodle-type dog. The owner of the terrier is described as being a woman wearing black leggings and a black top with dark hair tied in a bun on top of her head.

Officers are now urging anyone with information that can help with their inquiries to get in touch. Inspector Tom Brown said: "We are following a positive line of inquiry however, we would welcome the assistance of the public. In particular, there were a number of men in the park at the time who may have seen the incident and we are appealing to them to come forward.
