Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie Casting: Cara Delevingne Auditions for Film
Model Cara Delevingne has reportedly auditioned for a role in the film version of EL James's best-selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey. According to The Sun, the 20-year-old Victoria's Secret model is a leading choice for a secondary part in the film.
"Cara is a front-runner for a part. She's desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress," a source said, "[Cara] is a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie – though which part exactly hasn't been established."
Delevingne is also reportedly making connections with the film's director Sam Taylor-Johnson and screenplay writer Kelly Marcel.
"[Cara's] agent has also been talking to Kelly Marcel, the screenplay writer. And, if needs be, a strong role will be written in for her," the insider added.
Delevingne, who is the face of Burberry's Beauty Campaign, made her acting debut in epic romantic drama film Anna Karenina directed by Joe Wright, alongside Keira Knightley as Princess Sorokina. She met Sam's husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson while working on the movie last year. It was previously announced that the film will be released in North America on 1 July 2014.
Meanwhile, Delevingne has landed major role in upcoming film Kids In Love, which is yet to be officially confirmed.
"It will be Cara's first big screen role, so she's really excited about it and is eager to make sure that she does a good job. Her name in itself will obviously be a big draw for the film too," a source told Daily Mail.
