Flip or Flop star Christina El Moussa was grilled by the Child Protective Services after her and estranged husband Tarek's one-year-old son, Brayden fell into the swimming pool at her home in Orange County, California, on Monday (22 May).

Christina was not present when the incident took place as the little one was being looked after by the nanny, who picked up toddler immediately after the fall.

The reality TV star also shares a 6-year-old daughter named Taylor with her former husband, from whom she split in December after seven years of marriage.

Christina was made aware of the incident when she returned home and she rushed her son to the hospital as a precaution. At the hospital, both Christina and her nanny was questioned by the Child Protective Services.

"CPS being called is part of protocol for water-related issues," a source told E! News. "Thankfully all is fine and Brayden is doing great. He's his happy, healthy self and Christina was being overly cautious by taking him to the hospital to be checked out."

A day after the incident, a source told People that Brayden "is doing great and is happy and laughing as usual".

Christina was previously slammed by mom-shamers for allowing her son to stand close to a pool in photo she shared on Instagram.

"OMG," Christina fired back, according to Daily News. "1. It's a beach entry if he fell in it's only a foot high, he would be ok 2. It's not his first time in or around the pool, but thanks for your 'concern' aka judgment 3. AND most importantly I am right there and could be to him in 3 seconds SMH at this .....!!!!"
