Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and partner Justin Pasutto welcome first child

In March 2016 the couple had announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together.

Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and partner Justin Pasutto welcomed their first child together on 5 August. They couple have named their son Leo.

According to People magazine, the child weighing 6lb and 12oz was born at 6.02 am.

In March the couple had announced on Instagram that they were expecting a child. "I can't remember a time where my heart has been SO full. A total dream come true!! We are over the moon, stoked, blessed, exstatic!!!!! Little babe, we CANNOT wait to meet you!!!!!!," host of the HGTV show Love It Or List It, wrote alongside a photo of the couple and their dog Nacho.

At the time, Pasutto wrote, "Words can't express how lucky and blessed we feel to introduce a new life into ours and that our wish has finally come true."

The 36-year-old in the same month said marriage isn't a priority for the couple. "I'm not proposing to myself, but I know that I made it very clear to Justin when we first got together that this is kind of the year we might be looking at having a family," she told E! News.

"Who knows what will happen first but we talk a lot about growing the family and having a family and I think after being on The Bachelorette and I had that ring, I put way less pressure on myself to have to have that ring again. It didn't protect us from breaking up."

"It's a wonderful thing to have, but for me I just want that to happen when we're both ready...in the meantime, it doesn't make our relationship any less strong. So whenever he's ready, it's fine!" Harris added.

She later expressed her gratitude for the thoughtful day where she asked guests to make donations for BabyGoRound in lieu of personal gifts.

"Today was unreal. I am literally staring at this picture lost for a caption, It's been 20 minutes and all I can think of is, this baby is SO loved already," she wrote on social media. "This was probably one of the most beautiful events I have ever been to, and the fact that it was in honor of our little bean, has me beaming with excitement, love, pride & gratitude."
