Grimm Season 4 returns with an all new episode tonight, January 23 at 9:00 pm on NBC.
Episode 10 is titled, Tribunal where Monroe's life hangs in the balance.
The official synopsis for the episode reads as follows:
In episode 9 titled, Wesenrein, Monroe is held hostage in an old warehouse by the group which objects to the intermarriage between the Wesen species. The last scene of the episode shows Monroe being dragged out to the woods to stand trial for his marriage to a Fuchsbau, and friendship with a Grimm.
A new sneak-peek that has been released shows Monroe's emotional speech before the Tribunal ceremony.
He calls the tribunal sacrifice "wrong."
He adds, "What is right is my love for my wife and her love for me, that you will never be able to destroy."
Silas Weir Mitchell, who plays Monroe, dished a few spoilers about the sacrifice ceremony.
He told Tvline: "It's that thing where people who want to perpetrate a horrible act, they need some justification for it."
He added, "So instead of just throwing me onto the pike and burning me, they'll go through the proper channels and have a proper tribunal before they impale me and burn me."
