VShojo VTuber Agency

Amidst the shadows of the latest Ironmouse drama following exit from VTuber agency VShojo, the fiasco has sparked an exodus of talents from the agency.

The Puerto Rican VTuber, who commands 2.3 million Twitch followers, announced her immediate departure on 21st July 2025, claiming VShojo owes more than $515,000 (£405,000) to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) alongside 'significant' personal funds. Her allegations centre on VShojo's failure to transfer charity donations raised during her record-breaking 2024 subathon stream.

The mass exodus has effectively dismantled the agency, with remaining streamers removing VShojo branding from social media profiles.

Founding Members Leaving in Solidarity

The remaining original members of VShojo–Projekt Melody, Apricot, and Hime Hajime–have released separate statements showing their solidarity for Ironmouse by exiting the agency.

Projekt Melody, who is also known for creating adult content in the VTubing space, said that she is devastated by what she heard following the issue coming into light, noting that she has been an original member of the agency and has poured everything into her stay.

While Apricot, also known by her moniker Froot, hasn't explicitly stated on her official X (Twitter) account that she is leaving the company, she recently held a stream indicating that she is also leaving the agency. Still, it is unclear whether this is definitive, considering legal concerns, as well as her current status being on hiatus.

Meanwhile, Hime Hajime also confirmed her exit from the agency, while also expressing her desire to continue her streaming activities independently.

Solo Debutants Join Talent Exodus

More VShojo talents, who have debuted as part of the agency on their own (without being part of a VTuber unit), have also expressed publicly their desire to leave the company and continue their activities independently.

AmaLee, the VTuber persona of American voice actress Amanda Lee, has announced her departure from the agency, six months after joining the agency earlier this year with her existing VTuber model. 'Nothing about my content will change, as I was indie for 18 years before signing with VShojo, and I retain my IP,' she stated.

Meanwhile, Haruka Karibu and KURO have stated that their exit from the agency was already in the works before the fiasco, and that Ironmouse's exit has accelerated this move. Specifically, on KURO's side, he had already applied for a leave contract 11 days prior.

For other talents, Henya The Genius and Michi Mochievee have both streamed their plans for their VTubing future online, which include steps for transitioning to become indie VTubers moving forward.

Kson To VShojo Japan CEO: 'I Quit'

One of the early talents who has expressed their desire to leave VShojo is Kson, who is part of the agency's Japan unit. In her latest stream, she asked the CEO of VShojo Japan, who goes by the name Makino-san, as introduced in the stream, to provide more details on the agency's future amid the current situation.

In the stream, Kson has claimed that she has also not been paid since September 2024, despite the local CEO telling her that VShojo Japan was doing well. In the stream, Kson demanded that she be paid for those unpaid settlements to her.

'I quit VShojo today. I was planning on doing it on the 31st, but I'm doing it today. This is very wrong,' she said, referring to the fact that despite not receiving funds from the US VTuber agency, the Japan arm was doing well on its own and by default should be paid timely.

In a subsequent post on X (Twitter), Kson regretted all the 'positive' things she said about the company, but remains thankful that she still has her fans by her side.

VShojo Japan's NOVA Unit Exits

Another blow to the agency is the exit of the talents that are part of VShojo NOVA, based in Japan. The talents, consisting of Akatsuki Hotaru, Hestia Happiness, Yutori Peke, and Okamoto Nagi, have all released their statements on their X (Twitter) profiles announcing their departure from the agency.

In subsequent posts, the VTubers, who debuted collectively in 2024, are also discussing plans to continue their indie VTubing journey as a group. It remains unclear whether their recent music project with Universal Music Japan will continue despite the challenges ahead.

What's Happened So Far Following The Fiasco

While VShojo has yet to release a statement regarding this issue, many fans redirected their attention to supporting Ironmouse's charity fundraising with the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). The current fundraising effort, hosted by Tiltify, has already surpassed the $900,000 (£663,723) mark.

Multiple content creators and entities have made significant donations to the cause, including popular indie VTubers Doki, Shylily, and Mint Fantome, as well as content creators such as Jacksepticye and Trickywi. Businesses and other entities, such as VGen, Vtube Studio, and JAST, have also contributed to this cause.

Following this, IDF President and CEO Jorey Berry posted a video on X (Twitter) thanking Ironmouse and her community personally for their rallying support for their foundation, noting that thanks to Ironmouse, more people are aware of their cause and are spreading the word on it.

'Your authenticity and vulnerability inspire me,' Jorey quipped in the video.

Despite the talent exodus and the mix of emotions fans are feeling regarding the VShojo fiasco, many fans have redirected their focus to supporting Ironmouse's cause and becoming instrumental in promoting the IDF's cause of accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and improved quality of life for all individuals with immune deficiency.
