Hanging solely with his hand attached to a wall at a Tel Aviv shopping centre, Illusionist and endurance artist Hezi Dean appeared to be floating in the air, shocking hundreds of pedestrians on 22 March.

Dean performed the stunt for five hours that had Tel Aviv pedestrians speculating.

"I think this guy's hand is like not his real hand it's glued to the wall and there is a part of his body that is attached to it, so this is how we see him hanged," said Tel Aviv resident Ben Gur-Levi.

In 2011, Dean broke US magician David Blaine's endurance record from 2002, after standing on a nine story high pylon for a total of 35 hours.

In 2010 he endured 66 hours inside an ice cube, breaking Blaine's 63-hour achievement from 2000.

But for Dean, it was not about breaking records but rather about ending the stunt safely.

"I am very happy that I am driving home now and not in an ambulance. It is the first time that it is happening, driving home safe and sound," Dean said.
