Canadian pop star Justin Bieber reportedly had a huge fight with his mother, Pattie Mallette, after she wanted to use a picture of her popular son on the cover of her book. According to In Touch Weekly, Mallette wanted to use a photo of Bieber on the front of her book Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom, to boost sales.

"When Justin found out, he refused to go along with it, and they had a series of arguments," Marc Shapiro, the author of Legally Bieber: Justin Bieber at 18, told the magazine.

Shapiro added that one night the fight became so intense that the Girlfriend singer's long-time manager, Scooter Braun, was forced to step in and plead with him to let it go.

"Ultimately, Justin compromised and agreed to a couple of press interviews with Pattie," he said, "But he was upset."

The official book cover has Mallette's face and above her name is the line "Foreword by Justin Bieber". The magazine further claims that the 19-year-old singer "reluctantly penned a foreword for Pattie's memoir and now all is forgiven".

"To see it on paper meant a lot to me," Mallette said, "I melted."
