Khloé Kardashian has cut all ties with the animal rights group she once supported, after discovering the organisation's involvement in the attack on her sister Kim Kardasian last week.

The reality star released a statement expressing her disappointment, on her official Web site. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) had denied the allegations but the assailant, Christina Cho, is known to have very close ties with the organisation.

"I've just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise," Khloé wrote on her blog,"Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior."

Khloe had earlier posed naked for the organisation's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign and helped to promote their cause.
