Kim Kardashian is reportedly still so shaken over the gunpoint robbery in Paris that she has cancelled an upcoming appearance at a gala honouring her late father Robert Kardashian. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had been due to attend the Angel Ball event in New York on 21 November but a publicist has confirmed she is no longer on the guest list.

Robert, who died of cancer in 2003, is expected to be honoured at the gala, taking place at Cipriani Wall Street. Although Kardashian, 35, was initially listed on the invitation, her name has reportedly been removed from the press release. Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are still expected to attend.

A publicist for Kardashian told the New York Post's Page Six: "Kim is not expected to attend at this time." The TV star was held at gunpoint at a hotel apartment in Paris on 3 October by a group of masked men who reportedly stole jewellery worth up to $11m (£9m).

Revealing how Kardashian is recovering from the ordeal, a source told the publication: "It was a very traumatic experience. It's not good. She's got things to work out," adding of the gala: "She may show up. We'll see."

The annual Angel Ball was founded by Denise Rich, who lost her daughter Gabrielle to cancer. The event is co-chaired by famed jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz, who created the 20-carat engagement ring rapper Kanye West presented to Kardashian in 2012. The estimated $4.5m ring was reportedly taken by the robbers.

Musicians Sir Bob Geldof and Cee-Lo Green as well as TV personality Star Jones are among the celebrities expected to attend the Angel Ball.

Kardashian has slowly reemerged into the public eye, having attended her husband West's Saint Pablo Tour shows in California. The E! star was seen backstage at three of West's concerts at The Forum in Inglewood but kept a low profile. At one of the shows, Kardashian brought along the couple's three-year-old daughter North and reports claim cameras for the family's reality series were present.
