A nine-year-old supermodel, dubbed the 'the most beautiful girl in the world' is taking the fashion world by storm.

Kristina Pimenova, who started modelling at the age of three, has fronted campaigns for major brands including Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Benetton. She has also graced the covers of several high profile magazines.

The little girl's piecing blue eyes, honey blonde hair, and innocent facial features, have earned her legions of fans in her native Russia and across the globe.

A quick scan of her Facebook page - which has more than two million Facebook followers - reveals that she is a gifted competitive gymnast and the daughter of retired Russian football player Ruslan Pimenov and model Glikeriya Shirokova.

However, critics insist that she being sexualized and left vulnerable to online predators. They also claim that pictures of Kristina wearing hot pants or short skirts are inappropriate.

"You are sexifying your daughter and parents like you are the reason why girls grow up to have many issues... also there are so many sick ppl out their that look at these in sexually ways," one said.

The comment section of her Instagram page - which has 315,000 followers - is littered with date requests from male followers, declaring her a 'babe' and praising her 'long legs.'

But her mother has hit back, insisting that Kristina it is not at risk because she monitors all her social media accounts and deletes inappropriate comments. She also adds that she runs the sites and chooses which images of her daughter are uploaded.
