Well it may not have had the goals to match the events of Carrow Road, but there was certainly plenty of drama. Manchester United lose for a second straight season to Southampton at Old Trafford after Charlei Austin scores on his Saint debut. Dele Alli meanwhile inspired Tottenham to a thrilling win over Crystal Palace with a goal of the season contender. There were wins for Watford and Leicester - who go back to the top of the table - while Sunderland drew with Bournemouth and Aston Villa held West Brom in two games near the bottom.

Well that is all we have time for on this Premier League live text. We're back tomorrow with Arsenal vs Chelsea, but until then goodbye.

Full time: Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth

Full time: Leicester 3-0 Stoke

Full time: Manchester United 0-1 Southampton

Full time: West Brom 0-0 Aston Villa

Full time: Crystal Palace 1-3 Tottenham

Adnan Januzaj on and he shoots a loose ball wide of Forster's goal. That might be that.

Full time: Watford 2-1 Newcastle

Goal: Leicester City 3-0 Stoke City (Leonardo Ulloa)

Into five added minutes of added time and Southampton almost have a second. Long causes problems and Romeu arrives and De Gea makes a good save.

Goal: Manchester United 0-1 Southampton (Charlie Austin)

He has only been on the pitch a matter of minutes and he has his debut Southampton goal. Ward-Prowse swings a free-kick in from the right and Austin peels away and unmarked buries a header into the corner. Is history about to repeat itself?

Sadio mane comes off for Austin. Shane Long remains and he heads over from a free-kick. Into the last 10 minutes but there will be plenty of stoppage time after the injury to Darmian.

Daley Blind's drive in the first half is the only shot on target in this game, and it was barely what you could call a chance. Charlie Austin coming on for his Southampton debut, probably for Shane Long who hasn't looked overly threatening this afternoon.

Saints showing more and more ambition as the game progresses with United's fans growing frustrated again, as they did in the first half. Can't think of a meaningful effort on goal in this entire game.

Entering the last 20 minutes at Old Trafford and it is clear for all to see that one goal will be enough for either side today. brief entertainment has been replaced by mediocrity of the highest order. Southampton have probably edged it in this second half.

Goal: Watford 2-1 Newcastle United (Jamaal Lascelles)

Goal: Leicester City 2-0 Stoke City (Jamie Vardy)

Two changes fro Southampton as Dusan Tadic and Jordy Clasie off and Oriol Romeu and James Ward-Prowse coming on.

Victor Wanyama now with a header from the second corner but a deflection off Wayne Rooney takes the ball wide and on the wide-netting.

Shane Long comes in on a Clasie corner, and it takes a McNair header to deny him giving Saints the lead.

Darmian walks away from the incident but he is taken off. We await to hear the extent of that injury, another to United's defence.

Southampton on the break now as this game flirts with excitement. Mane scampers down the right and crosses for Shane Long but it takes Matteo Darmian's header to clear the danger. The Italian is down and is unable to continue, perhaps having cracked a rib. Paddy McNair coming on.

Goal: Watford 2-0 Newcastle United (Craig Cathcart)

Half a chance for the home team as Rooney feeds Mata, whose touch is just short of Martial in the box and Southampton get away with it. Ander Herrera played a fine ball forward to set the move in motion.

The game has fractionally improved in this second half with United showing slightly more ambition, with Juan Mata having been involved. Southampton look happy to sit back and capitalise on anything array at the other end.

Players back out at Old Trafford. Surely the second half can only be an improvement on the first 45 minutes? Under way across the country. Juan Mata on for the home side for Marouane Fellaini a change met by ironic jeers.

Goal: Watford 1-0 Newcastle (Odion Ighalo)

Goal: Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth (Patrick van Aanholt)

Half time: Manchester United 0-0 Southampton

Eleven games in a row without a goal in the first half for Manchester United at Old Trafford. Horrible first half display. Nine goals in one game at Carrow Road, and we get just four across six matches. How does that work? Not been a vintage afternoon.

Goal: Leicester City 1-0 Stoke City (Danny Drinkwater)

Now chants of 'attack, attack, attack' as Mane's shot is blocked behind. Southampton a growing force in this game.

Fair to say the United fans have beginning to turn on their team after a lacklustre opening 40 minutes, with the home side having offered nothing in the final third and Southampton gradually coming into the game.

Best chance of the game so far, by a million miles and should Southampton be ahead? Tadic plays a delightful ball over United's back four and Mane takes it down but can't make contact with his shot. Wonderful chance.

Another Ryan Bertrand set piece, this time a corner from the right but again he fails to find a teammate and the ball bounces out. Chris Smalling and Shane Long have a mini wrestling match which ends with the referee asking both players to pick themselves up.

Wanyama gets a run on Chris Smalling at the back post but heads over from a Clasie free-kick. Closest Saints have come.

There is not point sugar-coating it, this is a terrible game as Old Trafford. united showing very little fluency while Southampton are just happy to sit in and break when they can - though often without threatening either. Not a classic half an hour.

Southampton win a free-kick wide on the right and the big men are forward awaiting Ryan Bertrand's delivery. The England full-back swings in a high ball which goes out on the full. Really poor.

Southampton have not offered a great deal and their performance in this opening quarter is summed up by Cedric's shot, which balloons high into the Stretford End. Horrible shot.

Jordy Clasie down getting treatment after what looked like an innocuous challenge with Marouane Fellini. Oriol Romeu being prepped so looks like the Dutchman's afternoon is over prematurely.

Rooney picks the ball up 20 yards from goal and curls a low shot goal-wards but wide of Forster's goal. United with plenty of possession but as ever, very little thrust.

Marouane Fellaini vs Victor Wanyama has the makings of a feisty midfield battle and it is the Belgian who lands the first telling blow, with a nasty elbow to the face of the Kenyan international. Referee Mike Jones seems to miss the incident with no punishment for Fellaini but that gives you a sign of things to come.

Goal: Sunderland 0-1 AFC Bournemouth (Benik Afobe)

No goals in the opening 13 minutes from the 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League. No real chances to speak of at Old Trafford either but Daley Blind has a welcome effort on target but his strike from 25 yards is straight at Fraser Forster.

Anthong Martial has the first effort in anger at Old Trafford but shoots well wide from 25 yards as the space opened up for him.

If Crystal Palace-Tottenham is more to your tastes then head over to our dedicated live blog of the game. For Manchester United vs Southampton and all of today's other Premier League games stay right where you are.

Noticeable that United have reverted to a 3-5-1-1, which they adopted during the early stages of Louis van Gaal's tenure in charge, in order to macth up with Southampton. Strange move, give that United have the home team this afternoon. A sign of how the balance of power has shifted and fear no longer exists.

Under way at Old Trafford and around the country in the Premier League.

Teams on their way at Old Trafford and across the country. No goals in the frist half of Manchester United's last 10 games. Will that change today for the visit of Southampton? Latest updates and all the goals on the way.

For Manchester United, today is another key game in their pursuit of both the top four and the title but the minimum requirement from Louis van Gaal's side might be to show some ambition and attempt to entertain in front of their own supporters. Nine goalless draws involving United this season, and they could ill-afford another.

What a way to start this Premier League weekend with the most stunning of games and I fancy Jurgen Klopp's celebrations will be shown all over the world as he celebrated with Adam Lallana and the rest of his players in the final minutes. Incredible game, and there is more to come!

My goodness. Full time at Carrow Road: Norwich City 4-5 Liverpool. Substitute Adam Lallana scored a 95th minute equaliser to give Jurgen Klopp's side a dramatic victory. Credit to Norwich, who were 3-1 up at one stage, but that will be little consolation to Alex Neil who has seen his side shell-shocked in the final minute.

Southampton may only be five points behind sixth place West Ham United, but already their attempts to qualify for Europe look forlorn. Ronald Koeman's side have lacked consistency this season while their defensive steel of old has deserted them since the exit of Toby Alderweireld. Having said that Saints have won their last two on the spin without conceding while Dusan Tadic's goal helped beat United last season. Why not again?

Nice touch from Leicester City. Or not.

Crazy game at Carrow Road where Liverpool have recovered from 3-1 down to go 4-3 up with 13 minutes remaining. Norwich have collapsed since Wes Hoolahan doubled their lead.

Teams:

Sunderland: Mannone, Jones, Van Aanholt , O'Shea, Brown, Cattermole, M'Vila, Johnson, Lens, Borini, Defoe.

Bournemouth: Boruc; Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels; Stanislas, Surman, Gosling, Arter, Pugh; Afobe.

Quick word from the team news at The Hawthorns, which sees West Brom include Ben Foster for his first appearance for 10 months. Nice moment for the England goalkeeper who will be targeting Euro 2016 you would think.

Teams:

West Brom: Foster; Olsson, Yacob, Evans, Gardner, McClean, McAuley, Fletcher, Dawson, Sessegnon, Rondon.

Aston Villa: Bunn, Richards, Okore, Lescott, Cissokho, Bacuna, Gana, Westwood, Gil, Ayew, Kozak.

The other game we are focusing on today is Crystal Palace's meeting with Tottenham, which you can follow via another live blog here. Don't say we don't treat you.

Teams:

Watford: Gomes; Paredes, Britos, Cathcart, Ake; Capoue, Watson; Behrami, Deeney (c), Jurado; Ighalo.

Newcastle: Elliot; Mbemba, Coloccini, Janmaat, Lascelles; Aarons, Saivet, Shelvey, Sissoko; Wijnaldum, Mitrovic.

Teams:

Crystal Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Ledley, Cabaye, Zaha, McArthur, Puncheon; Wickham.

Tottenham: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Dembele; Son, Alli, Eriksen; Kane

First team news is in for the 3pm kick-offs, and the news from Old Trafford is Charlie Austin must wait to make his Southampton debut as Shane Long starts in attack. No surprises from the United team meanwhile, with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson coming in at left-back in place of Ashley Young.

Teams:

Manchester United: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, B-Jackson, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.

Southampton: Forster; Bertrand, Fonte, Van Dijk, Targett; Clasie, Cedric, Wanyama; Mane, Tadic, Long.

it sounds like a thrilling game at Carrow Road where Norwich lead Liverpool 3-2. if you want to following the last 35 minutes of that game head to our live blog here.

Our focus this afternoon is on the match at Old Trafford where United host Southampton and we'll have the breaking team news on the way. But before that, how do we expect both sides to line up?

United are without a host of players including Ashley Young, Michael Carrick, Marcos Rojo and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Southampton are likely to be without Graziano Pelle so could hand a debut to Charlie Austin. Jay Rodriguez does miss out however.

After another flurry of FA Cup fixtures, the Premier League returns again with eight more games on another busy Saturday. We have coverage of five games from the 3pm kick-offs, with Crystal Palace vs Tottenham on the other side, with our feature game coming from Old Trafford where Manchester United host Southampton. Louis van Gaal's side again underwhelmed against Liverpool but came away with the points while Southampton's inconsistent season has been disrupted further by this morning's revelations over his desire to join Chelsea. Teams news from all five matches on the way.
