Metallica Bring M72 World Tour and 50-Yard-Line Stage to Razorback Stadium With Limp Bizkit in 2027

Metallica will bring their M72 World Tour to Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on 26 May 2027, with Limp Bizkit and Swedish metal band Avatar joining the heavy metal group for a one-night stadium show built around a stage on the 50‑yard line.

The Fayetteville date is one of just 12 North American stadium stops announced for the 2027 extension of Metallica's M72 tour, which will once again feature the band's distinctive in‑the‑round stage positioned on the 50‑yard line.

The unusual production puts the stage at the centre of the stadium rather than at one end, while Metallica's Snake Pit sits in the middle of the performance area. The arrangement is designed to give fans a 360‑degree view of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo throughout the concert.

Limp Bizkit and Avatar Join Metallica

Fans heading to Razorback Stadium will get a three‑band bill, with Limp Bizkit and Avatar supporting Metallica during the Fayetteville show.

Limp Bizkit's inclusion adds a nu‑metal element to the event, with the Fred Durst‑fronted group having previously joined Metallica on the M72 World Tour. Avatar, the Swedish metal band known for its theatrical live performances, will also appear on the bill.

Unlike many earlier M72 dates, the newly announced 2027 shows will be standalone concerts rather than the tour's traditional two‑night 'No Repeat Weekend' format. That means fans in Fayetteville will get one Metallica performance instead of a two‑show weekend with substantially different setlists.

M72 Tour Keeps Rolling Into 2027

Metallica launched the M72 World Tour in 2023 in support of their 11th studio album, 72 Seasons. The tour has since travelled across multiple continents and had reached 99 shows in 26 countries by the end of its 2026 European run, according to reports.

The newly announced North American leg begins on 8 May 2027 in Vancouver before travelling through cities including San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, Cleveland and Salt Lake City.

Fayetteville's 26 May concert falls directly between Metallica's shows in San Antonio and Kansas City, making Arkansas one of the band's limited stops on the 2027 run.

Before returning to stadiums, Metallica are scheduled to perform their 'Life Burns Faster' residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, with the residency currently running into March 2027.

When Do Metallica Tickets Go on Sale?

Metallica fan‑club members will get the first opportunity to buy tickets, with sales beginning on 21 September at 10am.

A local presale is scheduled for 24 September from 10am to 10pm, followed by the general public sale on 25 September at 10am. Fans can find further ticket information through Metallica's official channels.

The concert will not be the first music event to transform Razorback Stadium into a concert venue. Garth Brooks played there in 2022, while Post Malone and Jelly Roll also took the stage at the Fayetteville stadium in 2026.

Metallica's M72 production is now set to take over the home of the Arkansas Razorbacks, offering fans a stadium show built around a stage in the middle of the field rather than the traditional setup at one end.
