Metallica Announces 12 Massive 2027 Stadium Shows With Limp Bizkit: Full Dates, Venues and Ticket Details

Metallica is extending its mammoth M72 World Tour into 2027 with 12 newly announced North American stadium shows, giving fans another chance to see the heavy metal giants alongside Limp Bizkit and Avatar.

The new run will stretch from 8 May to 19 June 2027, taking Metallica across Canada and the US as the tour enters its fifth calendar year. With presales beginning on 21 September and general tickets following days later, fans have a limited window to prepare for the first ticket rush.

Metallica 2027 Tour Dates and Venues

Metallica's 2027 M72 World Tour extension will begin at BC Place in Vancouver on 8 May before moving through 11 US cities.

The Metallica concert schedule includes Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on 13 May, Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso on 18 May, the Alamodome in San Antonio on 22 May, and Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on 26 May.

Metallica will then play Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on 29 May, Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh on 2 June, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on 5 June and Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, on 8 June.

The final three stops are Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on 12 June, Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on 15 June and Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on 19 June.

Unlike previous M72 legs built around two-night 'No Repeat Weekends,' the newly announced dates are one-night-only stadium concerts.

When Presales and General Sales Begin

Metallica tickets will first become available through the band's fan club presale on 21 September. Legacy Members will gain access from 10:00am local time, followed by Fifth Members at noon.

A Citi cardmember presale begins at 10:00am local time on 22 September, while eligible Verizon customers will have access to a presale for selected US concerts. Additional local presales are scheduled for 24 September in participating markets.

The Metallica 2027 general ticket sale begins at 10:00am local time on 25 September.

Fans can generally purchase up to six tickets per person in each city, although limits for certain premium packages, including Snake Pit and Meet & Greet experiences, are lower.

Limp Bizkit and Avatar Join Metallica for All 12 Shows

Limp Bizkit and Avatar will support Metallica at all 12 newly announced stadium concerts, giving the entire 2027 North American run the same three-band line-up. That differs from previous M72 dates, which featured rotating support acts depending on the city and night.

The addition of Limp Bizkit also brings together two of the biggest names associated with different generations of heavy music, while Swedish metal band Avatar completes the bill.

Metallica's Snake Pit Returns With M72 Stadium Stage

Metallica will continue using its distinctive in-the-round M72 production, positioning the stage around the centre of the stadium field.

The band's Snake Pit will once again sit inside the stage, providing standing-room access close to the performance.

Enhanced Experiences will also be available, with packages potentially including early entry, Snake Pit access, Meet & Greets, stage tours and Black Box Lounge access. The 'I Disappear Ticket' provides another option for fans wanting to attend multiple M72 concerts.

M72 World Tour Extends Into Fifth Calendar Year

Metallica launched the M72 World Tour in Amsterdam in April 2023 following the release of the band's 11th studio album, 72 Seasons.

By the time the latest dates were announced, the tour had staged 99 concerts across 26 countries and drawn nearly five million attendees, according to Live Nation.

The 2027 stadium shows are an extension of M72 rather than a separate tour. Before they begin, Metallica is also scheduled to stage its Life Burns Faster Sphere residency in Las Vegas from October 2026 into March 2027.
