MTV Movie Awards 2015: Where to watch live stream online

The 24th MTV Movie Awards for 2015 will be held on 12 April at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will be hosted by actress and comedian Amy Schumer.

The award show is unique, as it honours movies and stars fans vote for, rather than the critically acclaimed ones, with the iconic Golden Popcorn statues.

Superheros assemble

There is good news for Avengers fans, as the entire cast of the superhero movie, including Robert Downey Jr, will be present at the ceremony.

"We have the entire cast of The Avengers. Robert Downey Jr. included because he's getting the Generation Award. So you have all those superheroes," the award show's executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic revealed.

Divergent star Shailene Woodley will receive the special Trailblazer Award, while Kevin Hart will get the Comedic Genius Award for the year.

This year's movie awards promises to bring the most laughter as Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Hailee Steinfeld will introduce a special preview of Pitch Perfect 2 during the show.

The award ceremony has a fun-filled performance lineup and the first performance of the evening will be of singer Charli XCX of Boom Clap fame. She will perform on her new single Famous.
