Jihan Mohin Dimachk of Tanzania has been crowned Miss Grand International 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, becoming her country's first winner of the title and succeeding Filipino queen Emma Mary Tiglao.

The new Tanzanian titleholder emerged from a Top 5 that included Ecuador's Shyare Andrade (1st runner-up), Guatemala's Ximena Carrillo (3rd runner-up), the Netherlands' Beau Megan Goos (2nd runner-up) and Vietnam's Emoura Pham (4th runner-up).

The night opened with Tiglao seated on a golden throne in an all-gold outfit. She led the 'Devdas' dance number alongside the delegates, who wore glittering blue. The show was streamed live on the GrandTV YouTube channel.

How Miss Grand International 2026 Unfolded

The first cut sent 25 delegates into the semifinal round. Three of them arrived there through special awards. Ecuador's Shyare Andrade won 'Country's Power of the Year', Puerto Rico's Vicky Carbonel took the 'Grand Talent Award' and Tanzania's Jihan Mohin Dimachk claimed 'Miss Popular Vote'.

The rest of the Top 25 included Belgium, the USA, Spain, Vietnam, Thailand, Peru, Paraguay, Mexico, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Honduras, Côte d'Ivoire, Costa Rica, China, Chile, the Philippines, Uruguay, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Guatemala and Venezuela.

Côte d'Ivoire's Marlène Kany Kouassi then took the Best in Swimsuit award, adding a special award to her Top 11 finish. The field narrowed again to the Top 20 for the swimsuit round, before nine judges' picks and the public-vote leader advanced to the Top 10.

Away from the stage, the organisation behind Miss Grand Tanzania took the Golden Grand Award, while Miss Grand Japan and Reina Filipinas shared the Silver Grand Award.

Andrade carried her 'Miss Popular Vote' win all the way into the Top 5, a sign of how much public support she had built. The other four finalists came through the judges' cuts.

Philippines and the Three-Peat Bid

All eyes in the Philippines were on Reina Filipinas Angelica Lopez. She was chasing what would have been a rare 'three-peat' for her country, following CJ Opiaza's and Tiglao's back-to-back victories.

Lopez made the Top 25 but did not reach the Top 11. Her night still ended with silverware, as she took the Best National Costume award for a mangkukulam-inspired look, alongside Pakistan's Zara Younus, Thailand's Patthama Jitsawat and Hong Kong's Yolanda Liu Xuebin.

The Philippine streak stops at two.

The pageant's top Filipino names also took on hosting duties this year. Tiglao shared them with Opiaza, Luciana Fuster of Peru and Isabella Menin of Brazil.
