Nicole Kidman brought a special guest to the 2026 US Open on Friday, 11 September, stepping out with her rarely seen younger daughter, Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.

The 59-year-old actress and the 15-year-old were photographed holding hands at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, where they attended Day 13 of the tournament. The appearance comes as Faith has begun joining her mother at selected events more frequently, while still maintaining a far more private profile than her older sister, Sunday Rose.

Faith Margaret Makes Rare Appearance

Kidman and Faith kept their US Open outing relatively casual as they walked together through the Flushing Meadows venue.

Kidman wore a pale blue striped shirt with loose-fitting jeans and trainers, completing the look with a Chanel bag. Faith chose a burgundy polka-dot dress with a white jumper draped over her shoulders, sandals, sunglasses and a chain-strap bag.

Photographs from the event showed the mother and daughter holding hands, with Faith now standing at roughly the same height as Kidman.

The New York appearance follows another recent mother-daughter trip. Faith accompanied Kidman to Sydney earlier in September as the actress promoted Practical Magic 2. Kidman explained during the visit that Sunday was working and unable to make the trip, leaving Faith to accompany her.

Who Is Nicole Kidman's Daughter, Faith Margaret?

Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on 28 December 2010 and is Kidman's younger daughter with country singer Keith Urban.

Kidman and Urban announced Faith's birth in January 2011, confirming that she had been born through a gestational carrier. In their statement at the time, the couple expressed their gratitude to everyone who had supported them, particularly their gestational carrier.

Her middle name, Margaret, honours Kidman's grandmother. Kidman has also previously discussed the fertility difficulties she experienced while trying to expand her family.

Faith has one older sister, Sunday Rose, who was born in July 2008. Kidman is also mother to Isabella and Connor Cruise, whom she adopted during her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Faith and Sunday spent much of their childhood in Nashville. Kidman has previously spoken about her daughters' connection to Tennessee, including their Southern accents and identification with Nashville as home.

Faith Has Grown Up Mostly Away From Hollywood

Kidman and Urban largely kept both daughters away from constant public attention when they were children. That has gradually changed as Faith and Sunday have grown older.

Sunday has taken a more visible route, establishing herself in fashion and appearing at major industry events. Faith, by contrast, has yet to pursue a comparable public career and remains considerably more private.

She has nevertheless accompanied Kidman to selected events, including the actress' AFI Life Achievement Award celebrations, fashion gatherings and The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment event.

The sisters have also had small connections to their mother's industry. They appeared as extras in Kidman's television projects and provided voices for The Angry Birds Movie 2 when they were younger.

Nicole Has Put Her Daughters First After Split

Faith's latest appearance also comes after Kidman and Urban ended their 19-year marriage in 2025.

Speaking to British Vogue about navigating major changes in her life, Kidman emphasised the importance of her children, saying they give her an 'extraordinary purpose.'

For Faith, however, the US Open appearance does not necessarily signal a move towards celebrity life. At 15, she remains the more private of Kidman's two teenage daughters, with her occasional appearances alongside her mother providing only brief glimpses into her life.
