Nicole Kidman has shared a rare family photograph featuring her ex-husband Keith Urban and their two daughters in a tribute to Dolly Parton, as details of their divorce agreement resurface, including a provision stating that the singer has 'already prepaid all child support obligations.'

The image, posted to the actress's Instagram Stories, comes months after their divorce was finalised in Nashville and offers a rare look back at the family before Kidman and Urban ended their 19-year marriage.

Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences after 19 years of marriage.

The proceedings were finalised on 6 January 2026, with court documents showing the couple had reached agreements on parenting and financial matters without a prolonged public dispute. Both parties waived claims to spousal support, and each was responsible for their own legal fees and expenses.

A Poignant Tribute to Dolly Parton

The photograph Kidman shared dates back to the 53rd Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala in October 2023, when Parton helped induct Urban into the prestigious organisation.

In the image, Kidman poses alongside Parton, Urban and the former couple's daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

'We will always love you, Dolly,' Kidman wrote alongside the throwback picture, referencing Parton's classic song. The tribute came as celebrities and musicians paid tribute to the country music legend following her death at 80 on 25 August.

Urban also shared his own response to the loss of the country music icon with whom he had performed and collaborated over the years.

Kidman's decision to include Urban in the photograph was notable following their divorce, although the image itself was taken roughly two years before their separation.

The photograph also shows their daughters at a considerably younger age. Sunday Rose is now 18, while Faith Margaret is 15.

The Divorce Agreement and Parenting Arrangements

Court documents from the couple's divorce reveal detailed parenting arrangements for Sunday and Faith. The agreement states that neither party should speak negatively about the other parent or members of the other parent's family in front of the children.

They are also required to encourage each child to continue loving the other parent and to be comfortable in both families.

Under the parenting plan, the daughters primarily live with Kidman and spend every other weekend with Urban. Holidays are also divided between the former couple.

According to the documents, Kidman was allocated 306 days a year with the children, while Urban was allocated 59 days.

Perhaps most notably, the parenting agreement lists both Kidman and Urban's monthly incomes as exceeding $100,000 (£74,300) and sets Urban's monthly child support obligation at $0. The agreement states that Urban 'has already prepaid all child support obligations owed to [Kidman].'

The documents do not publicly explain how or when those obligations were prepaid, so the provision should not necessarily be interpreted as evidence of a single lump-sum payment.

Both parties also waived their rights to alimony and spousal support. Their property agreement allowed each party to retain assets already in their possession, including personal property and professional earnings, rather than simply dividing all of their assets equally.

Kidman has recently spoken candidly about adjusting to the unexpected direction her life has taken following the divorce.

Speaking to British Vogue for its September 2026 issue, the 59-year-old Academy Award winner said there had been a point when she felt 'very fearful and deeply vulnerable', but described choosing to move forward with 'an enormous amount of hope'.

'I didn't expect this. I had a different view of what my life was going to be, but this is what it is now,' Kidman said.

She added, 'You make all these plans and you have all these ideas of what it's all going to be like and then it's... not. You have to adjust. You adapt. The future, it's completely unknown to me right now.'

The actress has recently been linked to private equity businessman Michael Reinstein, though neither has publicly confirmed a romantic relationship.

What happens next for the family remains to be seen, but the divorce agreement sets out clear expectations for how Kidman and Urban will continue parenting their daughters following the end of their marriage.

The parenting plan requires them to make major decisions jointly, although Kidman reportedly has final decision-making authority if they cannot reach an agreement. The provision preventing either parent from speaking negatively about the other in front of their daughters also points to an effort to minimise the impact of the divorce on the family.
