A 79-year-old man has been interviewed under caution by detectives investigating historical abuse allegations.

The man was interviewed at a police station in York as part of the Metropolitan Police's Operation Yewtree. He was questioned under the strand 'others', said the Met Police in a statement.

Operation Yewtree was set up in 2012 following abuse allegations against entertainer and former BBC DJ Jimmy Savile.
