Pedro Pascal Attends 'Behemoth!' Premiere as Fans Swoon Over His Look and Call Him a 'Hot Professor'
The actor also discussed learning cello for the role and overcoming doubts about the film's nonlinear story

The premiere for Pedro Pascal's new movie, 'Behemoth!' has people turning heads, but not because of the plot. The actor's newest outfit for the New York premiere got fans online talking.
The Emmy-nominated actor sported a blue, long-sleeved button-up shirt, with a cream-coloured waistcoat, tie and shades. He kept the look casual by leaving his tie slightly loose and rolling up his sleeves.
He was joined by several of his co-stars, including Matthew Lillard, Eva Victor and Will Arnett, as well as director Tony Gilroy.
Fans Swoon in Reactions to Pedro Pascal's New Outfit
'The Last of Us' actor's new get-up had fans gushing over his appearance, with some suggesting that he had ulterior motives for wearing 'sl*tty' shades to the film premiere.
'He looks like the hottest, 'hot' professor ever fantasised about. I'd take a lesson in his office,' said a Reddit user. Another wrote, 'Pedro Pascal knows exactly what he's doing wearing those sl*tty little glasses.'
'I hate to objectify, but he is objectively hot. F***ing handsome as f***. Delish,' someone added.
One commenter wrote, 'He finds ways to get more attractive, and it's baffling to me!'
Pascal Shares Preparations for 'Behemoth!', Including Cello Lessons
In 'Behemoth!' Pedro Pascal plays Alex Serian, a cellist who returns to Los Angeles after spending two decades on the road. His return puts him on an unexpected journey that will forever change the course of his life.
During the New York Film Festival's press conference, Pascal was asked about what surprised him the most about having to learn the cello for the role.
'Remembering that there was an actual character to play that was in a story other than just the cello,' he said, per PEOPLE. 'The cello was the main character of my life for several weeks leading up to shooting. I took it with me everywhere I went.'
'Everything surprised me; it was hell ... and heaven,' he continued. 'It was incredible to be sort of in lessons again with another artist, number one, and to kind of stimulate the physical challenge of it and the meticulousness around it.'
Pascal shared that one of the biggest challenges of the role was learning how to play the instrument in just a few weeks. He explained that learning how to hold the bow properly usually takes a year, but he was 'fast tracked' to do it in under a week for the film.
'I never caught up to it, which was kind of the ecstasy of it, I suppose, always being in the question that we asked each other when we first met [gesturing to Gilroy], of 'Will you be able to do this?''
'I'm like, 'I don't know.' And that took us all the way to Vienna when I had to cram in Mozart ... so it was a joy, but it was the hardest thing that I've ever done creatively for a part,' he added.
Pedro Pascal Was Hesitant About Accepting 'Behemoth!' Role
At another point during the panel, Pascal gave director Tony Gilroy his flowers, admitting that he thought he was 'gonna be kinda mean.'
'You have created this complex Jason Bourne-like puzzle over something that is so intimate and so healing this mysterious way,' Pascal said in a video posted by the festival. 'And I didn't think it was gonna come from him, you know what I mean? This intimidating intellectual ... you know, I thought you were gonna be kinda mean. And you thought I was gonna be a dork.'
According to PEOPLE, Pascal initially found the story challenging and was hesitant about accepting the role due to the story's nonlinear format. He was nervous about discussing the role and his reservations with Gilroy, but he eventually accepted.
'I was so taken by what the story was and the kind of intimacy of all of it, in the way [of] how intimate it can feel to listen to music and to be guided by music,' he said.
'Behemoth!' releases in the UK on 5 December 2026.
