Rams' Puka Nacua Faces Allegations of Antisemitic Remarks and Assault; Restraining Order Rejected

Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua is facing serious allegations of reportedly hurling antisemitic remarks while also biting a woman several times. This was the reason behind the temporary restraining order filed against the 24-year-old football player, a request that was eventually rejected.

According to details of the rejected application, the unnamed woman alleged that Nacua acted oddly on 31 December 2025 during a group outing in LA's Century City neighbourhood, TMZ reported. The woman claimed that the Rams receiver said 'f*** all the Jews' and things got worse from there.

However, the attorney of Nacua, Levi McCathern, shot down those allegations. He was able to talk to witnesses present at the time and none reportedly heard Nacua making such antisemitic remarks.

Nacua's Controversial Bite

Beyond that alleged antisemitic remark, the complaint also detailed what happened afterwards. According to the woman, Nacua and others joined her and a female companion aboard a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. She claimed that Nacua got too close for comfort, with the NFL player biting her thumb so hard that it led to her screaming in pain.

She also detailed how she was bitten on the left side of her shoulder, leaving a notable mark. A photo showing that bite mark was obtained by TMZ from the TRO request. After the entire incident, the woman went to authorities the following day to file a report.

Bite Mark Stemmed From Horseplay

Setting the records straight, McCathern did not deny that the bite mark was from Nacua. However, he explained that it was a result of some horseplay since they were partying and not because of what the unnamed woman was claiming.

'Puka denies these allegations in the strongest possible terms,' McCathern said in a report from the Los Angeles Times. 'We will pursue all available legal remedies in response to these false and damaging statements.'

A mediation between the woman and representatives of Nacua was held this month. The accuser claimed that Nacua's reps threatened to contact media to disseminate false and inaccurate information about what happened that night.

For McCathern the whole nothing is nothing more than a move to extort money from his client, adding that the woman was asking for millions to settle the issue. Instead, Nacua's attorney released a statement on the matter, vowing to file a defamation suit against the female accuser.

'Our office was contacted with demands of millions of dollars in exchange for not publicizing these allegations,' McCathern said to TMZ. 'This is not a legitimate claim — it is blackmail.'

Nacua, seen as one of the new rising stars in the NFL, finds himself in another hole after a controversial incident in December. This is in reference to him going on a live stream and promising to do an antisemitic touchdown dance. The BYU product would later apologize for those actions.

'At the time, I had no idea this act was antisemitic in nature and perpetuated hateful stereotypes against Jewish people,' Nacua wrote via ESPN. 'I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people.'

That Instagram post has since been taken down.

With controversies hounding his rise in the NFL, it will be interesting if Nacua can find a way to stay out of trouble. After leading the league last season with 129 receptions and getting named an All-Star Pro, it would be foolish for the promising wide receiver to taint his career and see it all go down the drain.
