Disgraced entertainer Rolf Harris trawled the web for indecent images of young girls by typing phrases including "youngest teen porn" into search engines, it was alleged.

The shamed children's TV presenter searched the web for phrases including "extremely young in appearance" and "my little nieces," Southwark Crown Court was told.

Also allegedly found in Harris' web history was a visit to a website called "teeny tiny girlfriends" as well as searches for the phrase "young teen girls."

Police discovered what Harris had been looking for online in searches which uncovered a secret haul of 33 indecent photographs of children.

His defence team argued in court the models in the images were adults, according to the website in Ukraine which published them.

It was also argued the phrase 'teen' could refer to 18 and 19-year-olds, who were adults.

Responding, Prosecutor Ms Wass said: "If it was an accident, it appears to be an accident he had a number of times."

Harris will not be prosecuted over the alleged web searches, the Crown Prosecution Service said on Friday. He has already been jailed for five years and nine months after being found guilty of a series of sexual offences.

Prosecutor Sasha Wass QC said: "In the light of the 12 unanimous convictions on the counts that Mr Harris faced, the Crown Prosecution Service has decided it is no longer in the public interest to proceed with a trial on these four charges."
