Former lovers Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who were last seen together in a special song for the movie Bodyguard, are reportedly set to reappear again on the big screen for the super star's upcoming movie Kick.

Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the latest Salman movie will have a promotional song featuring the ex lovers, the Hindustan Times reported.

"When the discussion over who'd be cast alongside Khan in the promotional song came up, the entire unit, including Sajid, agreed that Katrina would be the perfect choice," a close source told the website.

However, it appears that the first time director is yet to get approval from Khan for the shoot to begin.

"Sajid is waiting for Salman's nod about bringing Katrina on board," the same source added.

Excited fans can again enjoy the crackling chemistry between the 48-year-old actor and his ex-flame Kaif.

The couple last worked together as co-stars in the spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger. The Kabir Khan directed movie created new box office records as fans loved to watch the lovey dovey duo on big screen.

The Dabang star's latest movie is a remake of a regional movie and features Jacqueline Fernandez as his female lead.

The filming for the promotional song may start mid-June but an official announcement is still awaited, according to the HT report.

"We will shoot the promotional song around mid-June, and make a formal announcement," the spokesperson of the movie told the Indian daily.

The Bodyguard star was once dating Kaif but their much talked about love story came to an end when the Zindegi Na Milegi Dobaara actress fell for Ranbir Kapoor.

Previously there were reports that the special song of Khan's Kick will feature the Chennai Express star Deepika Padukone.

Nevertheless, rumours suggest that the Happy New Year actress has denied the offer due to her loyalty for King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.
