Sevilla beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in the Europa League quarter-final first leg at San Mames Reuters

Sevilla will look to take another step towards a third straight Europa league title when they face Spanish rivals Athletic Bilbao in their quarter-final decider at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on 14 April.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 8.05pm BST. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2.

Overview

Sevilla are in pole position to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League after goals from Timothee Kolodziejczak and Vicente Iborra earned them a 2-1 lead over Athletic Bilbao in their quarter-final first leg at San Mames. Unai Emery's side have won their last three European home games without conceding and are on a record run of 11 straight home wins in the Europa League.

Defender Benoit Tremoulinas is sidelined with a hamstring injury for the hosts, while Ever Banega is suspended.

Athletic Bilbao's four-match winless run in all competitions came to an end at the weekend, courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Rayo Vallecano. The Basque outfit have never beaten a Spanish team away from home in European competition.

Inaki Williams (hamstring), Aymeric Laporte (leg) and Sabin Merino (thigh) are all ruled out through injury for the visitors.

What managers say

Unai Emery: "We played the 90 minutes [of the first leg] in the knowledge that there were another 90, and there may be more. It's a very even tie. Athletic are fighting and looking forward to the competition like us. They can change the score from the first minute at our stadium, so the result doesn't say whether we're favourites."

Ernesto Valverde: "The tie isn't over, that I have no doubt. We'll go to Seville to progress. Our start to the [first leg] wasn't very good. They started better, but as the game went on, we took control. It seemed that we were closer to scoring, but their equaliser surprised us by how it came about, and it's brought us to where we are."
