Ahsoka Tano will take centre stage in the Star Wars Rebels season 2 premiere episode titled The Siege Of Lothal.
According to a new report, there will be plenty of drama for Ahsoka, after Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan joined with the Rebels crew in the season 1 finale.
The latest promo video looks back on the character's history in The Clone Wars, thereby charting the path of Ahsoka's growth, and looking ahead at the challenges she might face in Star Wars Rebels season 2.
"Ahsoka in Clone Wars was more like Ezra," Ashley Eckstein explained of her character's journey. "She was the student, she was the Padawan. Now she's more of like the mentor, or the teacher — she's more like Obi-Wan, or Yoda."
Season 2 will find Ahsoka more as a Zedi mentor "Yoda" for Ezra and Kanan in the upcoming season, which will be very interesting to watch.
According to executive producer Dave Filoni, Ahsoka is "very much trying to find out what Ezra and Kanan are about" in season 2.
"But, she is also trying to figure out what the Dark Side of the Force is up to... because there's a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that has some connection to her," he added.
This connection, of course, is the link Ahsoka still shares with Anakin Skywalker, now known as Darth Vader. And true to many fans's predictions, Filoni is clear on who would emerge victor from a fight between the two former Jedi.
"Absolutely he could [defeat her]," Filoni confirmed, "Because he taught her."
And defeating Ahsoka may already be on Vader's to-do list. "Vader would look at Ahsoka and want to destroy her," Filoni warned. "She is a living memory of everything he once was, and everything he once had."
Also, the newly-released synopsis for The Siege of Lothal takes on an even darker tone.
James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Darth Vader. Star Wars Rebels season 2 will premiere on 20 June at 9pm on Disney XD.
