Teen Wolf season 6 returns with its final season this Tuesday, as Scott McCall, Stiles Stilinski and his gang face the new villain in town called The Ghost Riders. Episode 1 titled, Memory Lost, will air on 15 November at 9 pm ET/PT on MTV Network.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
A supernatural force crosses paths with Scott and his friends; Liam finds evidence of a new enemy in the high school.
Executive producer Jeff Davis spoke to TV Line about an emotional season 6 plot and the mystery surrounding the memory of Stiles (played by Dylan O'Brien). He said, "We approached this season with the knowledge that we'd have limited access to Dylan O'Brien because of his burgeoning movie career, and thinking, 'If this is the last 20 episodes of Teen Wolf, how do we give everyone a really big send-off?' We came up with this story that creates this big mystery about Stiles and the memory of Stiles."
According to Davis, the theme of final season is "how your life can be affected and changed by one person, and what that loss means. It's all about memory, and how memory shapes us." And that "one person" is Stiles. In season 6 trailers we have seen that Stiles is "erased" from existence by the villains Riders, whose backstory will become clear "towards the climax of the season."
Teasing a plot-driven season, Davis shared some details about the series finale episode. "There's one episode in particular where we dive back into the past, for a very plot-driven reason. It's hard not to start looking back, which we do, but we're trying to stay away from the kind of series finales where it feels like a role call of every character who's been on the show. We still want to keep it new," the producer explained.
