Earlier this week, thousands of Britons were left panicked after Tesco removed Marmite over a price row with Unilever.

On 13 October, many took to Twitter to complain about the decision, with the hashtag #Marmitegate trending across the country.

Other Unilever brands such as Hellmann's Mayonnaise and Ben & Jerry's were also affected at the time. Following the Marmite backlash, Unilever has confirmed that the issue surrounding the supply of Marmite to Tesco had been resolved.

A spokesperson for Unilever said: "Unilever is pleased to confirm that the supply situation with Tesco in the UK and Ireland has now been successfully resolved. We have been working together closely to reach this resolution and ensure our much-loved brands are once again fully available. For those that missed us, thanks for all the love."

While Britain's Marmite crisis has ended, the question over prices of products remains in doubt. IBTimes UK rounds up a Marmite price comparison for you to find out where to get the best deal.
