Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift are, officially, "very much together". The pair recently spent two weeks apart, reportedly due to respective work commitments, with their separation sparking rumours that the new couple had called time on their blossoming romance.

The British actor has been shooting on location in Australia for the film Thor: Ragnarok while Taylor was back to work in New York after the couple's recent "love tour", during which they holidayed together in the UK, US, Italy and Australia.

Denying reports of a rumoured split, a friend of the couple told The Sun: "Tom and Taylor are 100 per cent still an item. They are both focusing on work at the moment but will be back in each other's company again soon."

On Wednesday (10 August), the 35-year-old was seen touching down in Los Angeles' LAX airport, apparently eager to be reunited with his new love. The pair were last seen together looking loved-up as they enjoyed a date night in Santa Monica at the end of July.

The couple, who first became acquainted at the Met Gala, were famously caught in a series of PDA's sparking speculation that the romance was a publicity stunt. However, speaking at a recent Comic Con event Hiddleston confirmed his relationship with the Love Story singer saying the relationship was entirely "authentic."

"Everything you do you have to make sure you truly believe in it and as long as you know that, it doesn't matter what anyone else says about it because the nature of being a public figure is that everyone will have an opinion about anything you do, and as long as you know why you've done something and you've committed to it with authenticity then you're OK."

Friends of the star have however, warned him that his "embarrassing" romance could have an adverse affect on his career. It was recently reported that he had been ruled out of a lucrative Armani campaign and was no longer a contender to play James Bond.

The 35-year-old has long been rumoured to step into Daniel Craig's shoes as 007, but Hiddleston is now said to have fallen out of favour with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, despite being in advanced talks to bag the coveted role.
