Saudi Arabia 'Has Betrayed Muslims': 'Yaman Military' Account Threatens End to Kingdom's Prosperity

Saudi Arabia has been accused of having 'betrayed Muslims' and warned that its 'era of prosperity' will come to an end in a strongly worded social media post criticising the kingdom over its alleged position towards Israel.

The statement was republished on 10 September by an X account using the name Yaman Military, which accused Riyadh of choosing to side with what it described as the 'Zionist enemy'.

'Saudi Arabia has betrayed Muslims by choosing to side with the Zionist enemy,' the post said. 'We promise that the era of prosperity for Saudi Arabia will now come to an end.'

The identity, authority, and institutional affiliation of the account have not been independently established. The statement, therefore, should not be treated as an official declaration from Yemen's government, military, or the Houthi movement.

Warning Targets Saudi Prosperity

The language goes beyond criticism of Saudi foreign policy by directly invoking the kingdom's economic prosperity.
